Strong Test Despite Weather Conditions for Centurion Racing
Centurion Racing concluded their final foreign test session before the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport Championship gets underway at Brands Hatch on Easter Weekend. Riders Tom Grant and Dan Cooper once again enjoyed a successful three day test session at Cartagena in Spain despite some changeable weather conditions.
This was the third and final Spanish test for the two youngsters, who are more than eager to get back out racing and get some good results at the opening round of the 12-round series in April.
The varying weather conditions caused problems on the first day and the riders patiently waited for the sun to break through. On the final day Grant and Cooper were able to get out on track and set some very fast and very consistent lap times, both finding a good set up on the Honda's.
On the spectacular Cartagena circuit, Grant was unfortunate to have a small crash after catching his left foot peg, Grant walked away unscathed but his bike needed some work on it.
The final test allowed the Centurion Racing team to piece together everything they have learnt in the test sessions so far. It enabled the riders and mechanics the opportunity to find great set up and also a rough indication on what to expect this season from the Honda this year. The Centurion team are now all back in the UK, the bikes are being re-built at the workshop and they may venture to a couple of British circuits before the Brands Hatch opener.
